Practical significance of individual blood pressure trajectories
نویسندگان
چکیده
Individual blood pressure values tend to be close a certain population pattern (because of environmental and socioeconomic factors), without fully following it specifi c individual genetic predisposition). These “patterns” or “trajectories’ can followed back prenatal period across the whole lifespan. Some them are correlated with higher risk for development arterial hypertension. There also several “cornerstones” in these patterns, where may at an increased movement higher-risk group. They explain why individuals more prone target organ damage than others we, as clinicians, should have individualized approach when we translate population-based guidelines single patient. Proper defi nition practical knowledge signifi cance trajectories could important everyday prophylaxis practice.

Statistical and Practical Significance of Articles at Sports Biomechanics Conferences
Background. The importance of using statistical approaches has increased and became necessary for researchers and specialists in sports biomechanics because they need more objective and accurate methods to increase knowledge. Objectives. Evaluate the reality of using practical significance in the articles published in scientific conferences in the biomechanical sport. Methods. One hundred twe...
متن کاملBlood pressure and its significance in childhood.
Hypertension is an important accelerator of the atherosclerotic process. Detection in childhood may be important although longitudinal data are lacking of the prognosis of blood pressure measurement in childhood through adult life. The blood pressure of children should be measured. In populations where salt intake is high, values for blood pressure increase with age. Populations who eat small q...
متن کاملGenome-wide association of trajectories of systolic blood pressure change
BACKGROUND There is great interindividual variation in systolic blood pressure (SBP) as a result of the influences of several factors, including sex, ancestry, smoking status, medication use, and, especially, age. The majority of genetic studies have examined SBP measured cross-sectionally; however, SBP changes over time, and not necessarily in a linear fashion. Therefore, this study conducted ...

An attempt is made to describe the nature of the chemical interactions participating in blood clotting. In the laboratory, thrombin can be derived directly from prothrombin without the physiologic activators calcium, thromboplastin, Ac-globulin, and platelet derivatives. The newly recognized clotting factor, Ac-globulin, is essential for normal physiologic hemostasis. Plasma Ac-globulin concent...
متن کاملSignificance of blood pressure in infancy. Familial aggregation and predictive effect on later blood pressure.
Blood pressure was measured in 730 infants and their mothers within 5 days of birth. Paternal blood pressures were obtained where possible, and follow-up measurements were made on participants at 1 week and 1, 6, 12, 18, and 24 months. Infant blood pressures were adjusted for such variables as age, observer, cuff size, and sleep/activity status. Infant blood pressure correlated with maternal bl...
